I am 24 year old, from Mumbai, India. I have done my graduation in Engineering. Now I am preparing for a all India level exam for Civil services by UPSC. I started stuttering since age 6. I remember the school days when my stuttering grew worse and worse. I was constantly in shackles of Anxiety and fear and in most situation’s where I had to speak more than 2-3 words, to a group, authority figure, strangers, or out of random even with friends. I used to force words out due to which I did some weird face contortions which made others uncomfortable. To stay somewhat mentally stable I used to accept the way I spoke and but stayed always positive that someday I will beat it. I went for the speech therapy while in school and during college days but it didnt work out for me I always left it in midway & it only addressed the visible issues but not the mental issues. I read Coach Lee’s book in 2018, and it ignited that confidence and gave me a ray of hope. After practicing all the methods and steps given in the book, I am so happy to tell you all that after few months of coaching by Lee & Prathusha. I could finally beat the stuttering. This July 2020 I was told by Prathusha that I am no longer a PWS and have become a PWSS! This was like my dream come true. I know this is just the beginning and being a part of WSSA I will continually keep imporving my speech as this site & community is the best thing an ex-PWS could ask for. Thank you so much Lee, Prathusha and Each and every member of WSSA you have done a greatest work of bringing this facility to cure this speech impediment put for all PWS online without needing to visit anywhere, I know one day we WSSA will wipe out stuttering from the face of earth!

Congratulations for becoming a PWSS too. I still can’t believe that there a lot of PWS who don’t accept the fact that they can stop stuttering, that there is a “cure”, or call it how you want it, you can stop stuttering. More than a hundred people have made it. We’re living proof of this. Sadly, even speech therapists say that there is no solution, and that their methods might mitigate this speech problem, that’s all. We’re here to prove them wrong.

I have seen your work since day one and you have done it. Congratulations! Prathusha is a wonderful coach and she gets the best out of everyone, but it takes you to strive and get better and better everyday.Coach Lee Lovett has dedicated his life to help people who stutter and people who have speech anxiety problems. His methods are the only ones that I personally know of, are the ones that actually work.
I have gone on many other stuttering sites and communities and they want you to accept the fact that you will stutter forever. At WSSA, we all know that claim is false and Shubham you know that also. You do not have to stutter. I am in my late 50’s and if I can do it, anyone can. This system works.
Again, Shubham I am very proud of you and keep up the good work.Doug
