Ibross, 25, London, network engineer, says he is “the worst stutter you’ll ever hear – 80% of words are blocks in 90% of conversations. He says reading my 700 page book helped a great deal. At the beginning of this, our first Skype, he stutters almost every word. We work on thinking “how I can say my message with conviction”, and he immediately imitates everything I say flawlessly. He soon answers questions spontaneously without stuttering. We work on a simple Speech Plan (Short-Link-Stop); we discuss our goals (1st base thru home plate). He is stunned by his improvement. Is he “cured”? Of course not. Is he on the way to stopping stuttering and living in seamlessly in the fluent world. Yes.
